BMW have unveiled higher second-quarter
profits than expected despite the investment into the release of
the mini and the new BMW 7 series.
Profits before tax were up 62% on the same period last year and
sales figures indicated just over 238,000 cars were sold; BMW say
that figure could reach nearly 900,000 cars by the end of 2001.
I suppose not really a lot can be said about that apart from the
UK customers who still have to pay vastly more for a brand new car
in the UK than they would have to abroad.
